Andrea Harding – Chair and Ringmaster

Andrea is known for putting her best foot forward in everything she does and, when not trekking the globe (Japan, Southeast Asia, and Paris), that foot can occasionally be found in her favourite peep-toe sandal. “They are the perfect excuse for a pedicure!”

2012 marks Andrea’s second year with the ‘Shoe Crew’ and first year in the role of chair.  She’s excited to work with an amazing team of women and work to make the 2012 Glass Slipper Affair the best year yet!

In her day-job, Andrea holds the role of Events Manager for Communitech. As such, she has the expertise necessary to implement a complex event, and the understanding of what the community in Waterloo Region can do when they work together to achieve a common goal.

Andrea enjoys volunteering her time for various community initiatives, especially with Family and Children’s Services where she is also a member of the Hot Shots Street Hockey Tournament. She also holds roles with the KW Greater Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, Movember and is a strong supporter of the The Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation initiatives such as Random Acts of Kindness Day and Engage KW.

A devout shoe-lover and social butterfly, Andrea is looking forward to the planning of this women-focused event because it combines two of her favourite things–socializing and talking about shoes.
